A method of crimping a polymer stent on a catheter, the method comprising: positioning the stent (200； 300) over a balloon of a catheter, wherein the stent comprises a set of longitudinally spaced rings (212b, 212c, 212f, 212d) formed by struts (230) connected at crowns (207, 209, 210； 307, 309, 310), wherein each ring is associated with its direct neighboring ring by links (237) extending parallel to a longitudinal axis (A-A) of the stent, at least one of the links of the stent comprises a marker structure for holding a pair of depots (502a, 502b) in which markers are placed, the depots being placed in a planar view along a vertical axis (B-B) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (A-A)； wherein the stent is crimped such that in the crimped diameter, a pair of rings, between which the marker structure resides, do not make contact with the marker structure.
