PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat for growing/transplanting coral, which is not affected by collapse of coral gravel sand and tidal currents, prevents bite damages by sea urchins and fishes, without using metals such as nails etc., and a net and favorably grows coral and a method for growing/transplanting coral.
SOLUTION: The mat 1 for growing/transplanting coral is composed of a biodegradable resin and is disposed at the bottom 14 of sea. Net-like parts 4, 4... are obtained by continuously forming a plurality of retention holes 5, 5... into which corals 13 are inserted and which are elastically retained are installed consecutively inside an outer frame 3 of a prescribed shape to form a mat body 2. On the other hand, a plurality of needle-shaped bodies 6, 6... are vertically arranged at prescribed intervals on the top surface of the mat body 2.
