The method comprises aerial photography, interpretation of a contour base of taxation plots on aerial photographs, field inventory of plantations and treatment of materials of forest inventories. The interpretation of the aerial photographs is carried out by a landscape method. The assessment of productivity of plantations is carried out in complex taking into account growth energy of all components of forest stands of plantations of forest elements to obtain the integrated assessment on the landscape base of the degree of viability and growth rate of complex, mixed and uneven-aged forest stands through recording the contribution to the overall productivity of individual completeness and reserves of each forest stand of the forest element by the index of growth energy of a plantation E.
