PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope suppressing the wear of a wire for curving a curved part.SOLUTION: An endoscope 1 includes an operating part 3, and an insertion part 2 provided in line with the operating part. The insertion part 2 includes a curved part 12 having a plurality of joint rings 21 connected in sequence. Two adjacent joint rings 21 are connected by a shaft member 31 so as to be relatively turnable around the shaft member 31 intersecting a center axis of the curved part 12. A wire 16 reaching the operating part 3 via the plurality of joint rings 21 is traction-operated to curve the curved part 12. A shaft member 61 has a guide part 62 formed with an insertion hole 63 for inserting the wire 16 through, and the guide part 62 of the shaft member 61 is turnable around the center axis of the shaft member 61 relative to any of the two joint rings 21 connected by the shaft member 61.
