The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for measuring otoacoustic emissions, which assures high measurement accuracy, making it independent of the boundary conditions that characterise the measurement environment. In particular, considering an acoustic wave generated in an ear canal (21) delimited at a first end by an ear drum (20) and at a second end by a probe (11) partially positioned in an entry area of the ear canal (21), where the acoustic wave comprises at least one otoacoustic emission signal component evoked by a stimulus acoustic signal generated by the probe (11), said component being generated by the ear drum (21), the method comprises the steps that consist of: - measuring (130) by means of the probe simultaneously the acoustic pressure (p) and the velocity (v) of said acoustic wave; - on the basis of the measurements of acoustic pressure (p) and acoustic velocity (v) thus obtained, calculating (140) the intensity (IOAE) of the evoked otoacoustic emission component on the basis of the equation: preferably, the stimulus acoustic signal is equalised on the basis of the active intensity of the measured acoustic wave.
