PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of reducing wasteful energy consumption while maintaining a necessary cooling capacity.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a cooling container 112, a cold head, a compressor 32, and an output part. In the cooling container 112, a superconductive coil 113 is disposed inside. The cold head cools the cooling container 112. The compressor 32 outputs refrigerant gas to the cold head at a first gas pressure.
