PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce capacity of a single power supply when power for supplying each of components forming an MRI device is supplied by the single power supply.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes switching means switching power supply to each of components forming an MRI device. In the switching means, some of respective constitution elements forming the MRI device are not simultaneously used, and thereby power supply to the elements is switched on the basis of information on operation situation of the MRI device and capacity of a power supply as a single one is reduced.
