PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cheese sauce having a low cheese content and capable of maintaining, even when chilled or stored within a refrigerator, a spinnability similar to that of a heated cheese.SOLUTION: The provided cheese sauce is a cheese sauce including 0.5-30% of cheese: wherein a tapioca starch and an edible oil are included wherein the content of the edible oil content with respect to 1 part of protein is 3-50 parts wherein the tack strength of the cheese sauce at 30°C is 0.5-2.5 times the tack strength thereof at 70°C and wherein the tack strength of the cheese sauce at 10°C is 1-3 times the tack strength thereof at 70°C.
