A movable gate 105 for use in a transporter, wherein the gate may be moved to and fro along the length of the transporter along a guide 104, preferably rails on the side walls 102A of the trailer, the gate 105, being connected to the guide by means of a mounting arrangement 106. The gate further comprises a pivot member 108 extending from the mounting arrangement 106, where the movable gate is movable between open and closed positions about the pivot member. The gate 105 is preferably clear of the ground, and rests upon a wheel 114. The gate 105 be formed in two parts, having an upper gate member 110A and a lower gate member 110B. The gate may comprise various locking means 116, 118, 109, which may allow the gate to be locked in a closed position, in an open position against a wall, and/or to lock the mounting arrangement in place. The mounting arrangement 106 may comprise a roller 106A to help the gate to move along the guide 104.
