The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns some acetal derivatives of 3-methyl citral of formula (I) wherein the dotted lines indicate the presence of a single or double bond R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl or ethyl group, R2 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group and each R3, taken alone, simultaneously or independently, represents a C1-3 alkyl or alkenyl group or said R3 groups, taken together, represent a C2-6 hydrocarbon group optionally comprising an oxygen atom. The present invention concerns the use of said compounds in the perfumery industry as well as the compositions or articles containing said compounds.La présente invention concerne le domaine de la parfumerie. Plus particulièrement, elle porte sur certains dérivés acétals du 3-méthylcitral de formule (I) dans laquelle les lignes en pointillés indiquent la présence dune simple liaison ou dune double liaison R1 représente un atome dhydrogène ou un groupe méthyle ou éthyle, R2 représente un atome dhydrogène ou un groupe méthyle et chaque R3, pris séparément, simultanément ou indépendamment, représente un groupe alkyle ou alcényle en C1-3 ou lesdits groupes R3, pris ensemble, représentent un groupe hydrocarboné en C2-6 comprenant éventuellement un atome doxygène. La présente invention porte sur lutilisation desdits composés dans lindustrie de la parfumerie ainsi que sur les compositions ou articles contenant lesdits composés.
