The present invention concerns the use as perfuming ingredients of para- substituted derivatives of α-methyl cinnamic alcohol of formula (I) in the form of any one of its stereoisomers or a mixture thereof, and wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-4 alkyl or alkenyl group or a formyl or acetyl group R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group R2 represents a methyl, ethyl or methoxy group and R3 represents a CH2 group or a carbon-carbon double bond.
