An artificial fishing lure for use in trolling. The lure has a body with aleadingedge, a tail, a top surface, a bottom edge, a first side and a second side. Atleast three linepassages are positioned in spaced relation along the top edge between theleading edge andthe tail including a lead line passage, a mid-body line passage, a knot holeline passage. Aholding clip is positioned on the second side of the body next to the knothole passage. Theholding clip is adapted to maintain a shank of a hook in friction fitengagement with the hookgenerally oriented toward the tail when casting or trolling. The clip releasesthe hook fromthe body when a fish strikes. The body holds its position on the line when theline is taut dueto friction resulting from the maimer the line is woven through lead linepassage, themid-body line passage and the knot hole line passage.
