Use of a derivative of 2,4-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (I) or its salt for preventing and/or treating the signs of aging of skin or semi-mucous membranes, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising sufficient amount of derivative of (I) in combination with an additional active agents including amino acid, peptide, anti-wrinkle agent, anti-aging agent, moisturizing agent, antioxidant and/or photoprotective agent； and (2) a kit comprising a container containing the composition including derivative of (I) and a device to allow the administration of composition to an individual and/or to increase efficacy of composition in the individual.
