PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking support device capable of improving at least one of problems in conventional walking support methods.SOLUTION: A walking support device 2 supports a walking movement of a walker 4. The walker 4 may be an older person, a handicapped person, a wounded person, an athlete or a learner. A measuring part 10 measures walking information of the walker 4, and generates data S2 showing the walking information. An attachment tool 20 works on an arm of the walker 4 according to the walking information data S2 measured by the measuring part 10 to assist in an arm movement during walking, and to thereby improve the walking movement.【課題】従来の歩行支援方法の問題点の少なくともひとつを改善可能な歩行支援装置を提供する。【解決手段】歩行支援装置２は、歩行者４の歩行運動を支援する。歩行者４は、高齢者や障害者、傷病者、アスリートや学習者などであり得る。測定部１０は、歩行者４の歩行情報を測定し、その歩行情報を示すデータＳ２を生成する。装着具２０は、測定部１０により測定された歩行情報データＳ２に応じて、歩行者４の腕に作用することにより、歩行時の腕運動に介在し、それにより歩行運動を改善させる。【選択図】図１
