PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair-treatment excellent in stretching and fitting when applied to hair and also in conditioning effect (particularly, hair ruling, moist feeling, softness and the like-addition effect).SOLUTION: A hair cosmetic contains 0.5 to 5.0 wt.% of a compound represented by the formula (C-1), 0.2 to 3.0 wt.% of a fat and oil composition containing at least an interesterified fat and oil and a vegetable fat and oil having an elevation melting point of 10°C or less, 0.01 to 0.2 wt.% of lauroyl arginine, and water. [In the formula (C-1), Rrepresents a C12 to 22 alkyl group, Rto Rindependently represent a C1 to 4 alkyl group, X represents Cl, Br, CHSOor CHSO, and n represents an integer of 1 to 5, respectively.]
