PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel aquaporin and an aquaglyceroporin hyperfunction agent.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to aquaporin and an aquaglyceroporin hyperfunction agent which contain hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. The hyperfunction agent of the invention accelerates the function of aquaporin, and is useful as a therapeutic agent for nephrogenic diabetes insipidus, diuresis, dermal dryness, pruritus, skin ulcer, wound, obesity, or fatty liver, a water absorption promoter in small and large intestine, a secretion promoter in an eye, oral cavity, nasal mucosa, and trachea, or a lubricant of vagina.【課題】本発明は、新規なアクアポリンおよびアクアグリセロポリン機能亢進剤を提供することを主な目的とする。【解決手段】本発明は、ヒアルロン酸またはその塩を有効成分として含有する、アクアポリンおよびアクアグリセロポリン機能亢進剤に関するものである。本発明機能亢進剤は、アクアポリンの機能を亢進し、腎性尿崩症、多尿、皮膚の乾燥、皮膚掻痒症、皮膚潰瘍、創傷、肥満若しくは脂肪肝の治療剤、小腸及び大腸での水分吸収促進剤、眼、口腔、鼻粘膜及び気管の分泌促進剤、または膣の潤滑剤として有用である。【選択図】なし
