PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the surface sheet of an absorbent article covered with many fluid-guiding bottomed concavities, and displaying well cushiony performance and high ability to transfer a fluid to an absorbent material.
SOLUTION: The surface sheet of an absorbent article is made of nonwoven fabric 2 with its surface 3 including its parts 31 getting a contact with the skin, many fluid-guiding concavities 4 having their surfaces 41 depressed and their backs 42 protruding toward the absorbent material. The liquid-guiding concavity 4 has a circumferential wall 43 and a bottom 44. The bottom 44 is located closer to the absorbent material than to the back 32 of the surface 3. The thickness Ta of part A adjacent to the bottom 44 of circumferential wall 43 is smaller than the thickness T1 of the surface 3.
