PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load detector with which it is possible to suppress the collision or contact of a caster with a side wall of the load detector.SOLUTION: A load detector comprises a first beam-shaped strain generating body cantilevered on a first support base, a second beam-shaped strain generating body cantilevered on a second support base, a placement unit provided between the first beam-shaped strain generating body and the second beam-shaped strain generating body, a strain gauge attached to at least one of the first and second beam-shaped strain generating bodies, and a guide unit for controlling the position of a caster in the width direction and extending approximately in parallel to the first beam-shaped strain generating body at approximately the middle between the first beam-shaped strain generating body and the second beam-shaped strain generating body.
