A method for using the carbonated material to inhibit bacteria includes: A. providing a carbonated material, wherein the carbonated material comprises a carbon containing body with conductivity； selecting at least one of the groups composed of carbon fiber cloth, graphene and graphene oxide from the carbon containing main system； B. contacting the carbonated material with a liquid environment； and C. providing a direct current to the carbon containing body.
