PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material useful for inhibiting the growth of Fusarium bacteria in the soil and a production method therefor, and a method for inhibiting Fusarium disease using the material.SOLUTION: A material according to the present invention contains one or more compound selected from the group consisting of adenosine, 5-S-methyl-5-thioadenosine, and γ-glutamyl-S-allylcysteine, and is applied to the soil to promote the growth of the bacteria that antagonize Fusarium bacteria, thereby inhibiting the growth of Fusarium bacteria. A Fusarium bacteria-antagonistic bacteria growth promoting material according to the present invention can be extracted from Allium roots.
