PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating light intensity suitable for plant cultivation from observation of chloroplast motion in a cell, and a cultivation method of plants which is irradiated with blue light of light intensity discriminated by the discrimination method.SOLUTION: Light intensity suitable for plant cultivation is discriminated by a method comprising: (a) a process of preparing a plurality of plant leaves a part of which is coated by a light-shielding material (b) a process of irradiating the leaves prepared in process (a) with blue light having different light intensities and (c) a process of discriminating whether the irradiated blue light is weak light or strong light by removing a light-shielding material and observing a light-irradiating region of each leaf and chloroplast motion in a cell in a light-shielding region. Further, plants, which belong to the same family as the plant to which the discrimination was performed, is irradiated with blue light having the light intensity discriminated by the method above, and are cultivated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】植物栽培に適した光強度を、細胞内の葉緑体運動の観察から判別する方法や、かかる判別方法によって判別した光強度の青色光を照射する植物の栽培方法を提供する。
