An orthosis device comprising a substantially rigid thermo-formable substrate having a substrate profile defined by a substrate top edge, an opposite substrate bottom edge, and opposite substrate side edges interconnecting the substrate top and bottom edges, the substrate profile being substantially symmetrical about a centerline thereof, whereby the device becomes moldable when activated by a forming temperature above ambient, and the symmetry of the substrate enables the device to be used in both left hand and right hand applications.
