PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict degradation in the taste of food containing allyl isothiocyanate, by packaging such food as wasabi containing the allyl isothiocyanate, which is a hot constituent, with gas-permeable packaging material. SOLUTION: Into a gas-permeable packaging material 1, food containing allyl isothiocyanate, for example grated raw wasabi, is stored. The packaging material 1 is a two-layer structure in which polyethylene film 1a as an internal face is covered with gas-permeable paper 1b. The polyethylene film 1a, internal face, allows the volatile gas of the allyl isothiocyanate, which the wasabi 2 contains, to pass through it, and, further, the use of the gas-permeable paper 1b as an outermost layer makes it possible to seal it by an existing automatic packaging sheet device. By putting the wasabi 2 into the packaging material 1 in such a manner and using it together for raw food, such as sashimi, antibacterial action can be exerted to its periphery by a hot constituent volatilizing from the wasabi 2, unless the packaging material 1 is broken.
