The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an extract of parthenocissus tricuspidata (s. et z.) planch and a cosmetic composition containing the extract as an active ingredient, which has anti-aging and skin whitening effects, and more specifically, to a method of preparing an extract of parthenocissus tricuspidata (s. et z.) planch, which comprises the steps of: preparing, concentrating, and freeze-drying an extract using a solvent, and to a cosmetic composition containing 0.001-30.0 wt% of the extract, which has superior anti-aging and skin whitening effects. According to the present invention, an extract of parthenocissus tricuspidata (s. et z.) planch is shown to remove radicals and inhibit the activation of tyrosinase, so that the extract can be used to provide a cosmetic composition which has superior anti-aging and skin whitening effects as well as wrinkle-reducing effects.본 발명은 담쟁이넝쿨 열매 추출물의 제조방법 및 이를 주요 활성성분으로 함유하는 노화 방지 및, 피부 미백 기능을 갖는 화장료 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 좀 더 구체적으로는 용매를 이용한 추출물의 제조, 농축 및 동결건조를 포함하는 담쟁이넝쿨 열매 추출물 제조방법 및 이를 통해 제조된 추출물 0.001 - 30.0중량%를 함유하며 노화방지 효과와 피부 미백 효과가 우수한 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 의하면 담쟁이넝쿨 열매 추출물은 라디칼 소거효과를 나타내었으며, 티로시나제 활성 저해 효과를 나타낼 뿐만 아니라 피부 잔주름 개선효과, 미백효과가 효과적인 미백 및 항노화 기능성 화장료를 제공할 수 있다.
