Способ получения слабительного средства из травы стальника полевого, включающий измельчение сухой травы стальника путем раздавливания и истирания, экстрагирование водно-этанольным раствором, при этом перед экстракцией действующих веществ проводят настаивание измельченной травы в этом же растворе, для экстракции применяют 50%-ный по объему водно-этанольный раствор, содержащий 1 мас.% лимонной кислоты, и проводят очистку полученного экстракта от смолистых веществ пропусканием через слой силикагеля при определенных условиях.
