The present invention relates to a method for producing fucoxanthin of filamentous brown algae. The method comprises the filamentous brown algae contain filaments phase of brown algae life cycle that do not have algins, and has the characteristics of simple cells structure, so under controlling light, temperature and nutrient conditions, it can be a lot of proliferation and the continuation of filaments phase, then further to the filaments for producing fucoxanthin.本發明是有關於一種絲狀褐藻用以產製藻褐素(Fucoxanthin)的方法;利用絲狀褐藻包含褐藻生活史中絲狀體階段不含各種膠類及具有體細胞組成簡單的特徵下,在控制之光線、溫度、營養條件下,可大量培養且延續其絲狀體階段,並進一步以所述絲狀體為材料,產製藻褐素。
