PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant extract containing 20-hydroxyecdysone that is easily taken, easily blended into a liquid agent, and has certain expected pharmacological activity, and a method for producing the extract, and a composition or a food product for restoring, improving or preventing cartilage damage which contains the plant extract containing 20-hydroxyecdysone, or a composition or a food product for promoting differentiation induction of a mesenchymal stem cell to a cartilage cell.SOLUTION: A plant extract containing 20-hydroxyecdysone contains 20-hydroxyecdysone, which is obtained from a plant (except for spinach) through an extraction operation, as an active ingredient having pharmacological activity at a predetermined content, and the extraction operation includes classification processing for separating and removing at least one component selected from the group consisting of a bitter taste component, a harsh taste component and a component impairing a dissolved state contained in the plant (except for spinach) from the active ingredient by using styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer resin, other than the 20-hydroxyecdysone.SELECTED DRAWING: NoneCOPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】服用し易く、液剤への配合が容易であり、一定の期待される薬理活性を有する20-ヒドロキシエクジゾン含有植物抽出物及びその製造方法、並びに該20-ヒドロキシエクジゾン含有植物抽出物を含む、軟骨損傷の修復、改善又は予防用組成物若しくは食品、又は間葉系幹細胞の軟骨細胞への分化誘導促進用組成物若しくは食品を提供する。【解決手段】植物(但し、ホウレンソウを除く)から抽出操作を経て得られた20-ヒドロキシエクジゾンを、薬理活性を有する有効成分として所定の含量で含み、上記抽出操作には、スチレン-ジビニルベンゼン共重合体樹脂を使用することで上記20-ヒドロキシエクジゾンの他に上記植物(但し、ホウレンソウを除く)中に含まれる苦味成分、えぐ味成分及び溶状を損なう成分からなる群から選択される少なくとも1成分を上記有効成分と分離して除去する分別処理が含まれる20-ヒドロキシエクジゾン含有植物抽出物などである。【選択図】なし
