PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method of a seed or a bulb of a plant, and a drier used for the drying method for reducing a space required for drying the seed or the bulb of the plant, reducing working manhours, and reducing a drying period. SOLUTION: This drier 10 of the seed or the bulb of the plant has a drying chamber 15 kept in a sealed state, a dehumidifying means 12 for dehumidifying inside air, an air duct forming means 11 for forming air ducts r1, r2, r3, and r4, an air blowing means 13 for generating circulating winds W1, W2, and W3 by blowing the inside air, and a ventilatable seed housing vessel 14 arranged in the air duct r3, and housing the seed or the bulb. The dehumidified circulating wind W2 is passed through the inside of the seed housing vessel 14, and dries the seed or the bulb. The seed housing vessel 14 is arranged so that the circulating wind W2 uniformly passes through the inside of the seed housing vessel 14.
