The present invention relates to a process for treating at least one hollow body (10, 10 ') of thermoplastic material, such as a preform or a plug, said treatment method comprising successively at least the following steps: (a) a first step of treating at least the interior of the hollow body (10, 10 ') with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)； (b) a second step of heating said hollow body (10, 10 ')； (c) a third step of treating said hollow body (10, 10 ') with plasma to reduce the concentration of hydrogen peroxide residues (H2O2). The invention also relates to a container manufacturing installation in which said method is implemented thanks in particular to a preform plasma processing unit.La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'au moins un corps creux (10, 10') en matière thermoplastique, tel qu'une préforme ou un bouchon, ledit procédé de traitement comportant successivement au moins les étapes suivantes : (a) une première étape, consistant à traiter au moins l'intérieur du corps creux (10, 10') au moyen de peroxyde d'hydrogène (H2O2) ； (b) une seconde étape, consistant à chauffer ledit corps creux (10, 10') ； (c) une troisième étape, consistant à traiter ledit corps creux (10, 10') avec du plasma pour réduire la concentration en résidus de peroxyde d'hydrogène (H2O2). L'invention concerne encore une installation de fabrication de récipients dans laquelle ledit procédé est mis en œuvre grâce notamment une unité de traitement par plasma des préformes.
