The device for processing and discharge of fresh water and water, which is to be supplied from a main water supply, to be enriched with carbon dioxide and which can be removed from a storage tank (2), comprises a sterilization zone, a switch valve unit (13) that can be switched between beverage discharge and feedback states, and a beverage dispensing point and a pump. The switch valve unit is arranged to the beverage dispensing point and can be attached by means of a line to the storage container and can also be attached to a fresh water main line. The device for processing and discharge of fresh water and water, which is to be supplied from a main water supply, to be enriched with carbon dioxide and which can be removed from a storage tank (2), comprises a sterilization zone, a switch valve unit (13) that can be switched between beverage discharge and feedback states, and a beverage dispensing point and a pump. The switch valve unit is arranged to the beverage dispensing point and can be attached by means of a line to the storage container and can also be attached to a fresh water main line. The water is filled in the storage tank over the valve unit and the pump. The water is supplied from the fresh water main line over the valve unit and a second pump can be circulated into the first and second sterilization zones respectively. The valve unit is built as a 2/3-way double valve. The storage container is arranged upstream to the first pump, the first ultraviolet-light sterilization zone and the valve unit, in the direction of flow of the beverage to be dispensed. The storage container is provided with a beverage supply unit, which has a pre-sterilization zone (4), a third pump (7) and a cooling unit (8). Within the storage tank, a third ultraviolet-light-sterilization zone is formed. In the first sterilization zone, an inlet with a decentralized inlet opening is foreseen. The first sterilization zone has a drain line with a decentralized drainage opening. A central third ultraviolet-light-sterilization zone or sterilizing ultraviolet lamp is provided in the storage container. The storage container has a flow deflector that is arranged to the beverage supply unit. A level indicator is provided in the storage tank. One of the pumps for the beverage circulation process is time and/or level-controlled. The sterilizing ultraviolet lamp is assigned to a discharge opening (beverage dispensing point) of the valve unit. The valve unit has a discharge opening (beverage dispensing point) that is exposed to a spring-loaded locking element that is arranged in a valve chamber that can be flowed through by the fluid. A carbon dioxide line flows into the storage container. An independent claim is included for a storage tank.
