PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a recycle pulp fiber capable of easily performing inactivation and decomposition of a highly water-absorbing polymer using a single chemical.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a recycle pulp fiber from a used sanitary article containing a pulp fiber and a highly water-absorbing polymer includes: a highly water-absorbing polymer inactivation and decomposition step S1 of immersing a sanitary article component material containing the pulp fiber and a highly water-absorbing polymer having an acid group in a peracid-containing aqueous solution containing a peracid, and inactivating the highly water-absorbing polymer and decomposing the highly water-absorbing polymer; and a recycle pulp fiber collection step S2 of collecting the recycle pulp fiber from the peracid-containing aqueous solution through the highly water-absorbing polymer inactivation and decomposition step S1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT【課題】高吸水性ポリマーの不活化及び分解を単一の薬剤を用いて簡易に実施することができる、リサイクルパルプ繊維の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】パルプ繊維及び高吸水性ポリマーを含む、使用済の衛生用品からリサイクルパルプ繊維を製造する方法であって、上記パルプ繊維と、酸基を有する高吸水性ポリマーとを含む衛生用品構成資材を、過酸を含む過酸含有水溶液に浸漬し、上記高吸水性ポリマーを不活化するとともに、上記高吸水性ポリマーを分解する高吸水性ポリマー不活化及び分解ステップS1、高吸水性ポリマー不活化及び分解ステップS1を経た上記過酸含有水溶液から、上記リサイクルパルプ繊維を回収するリサイクルパルプ繊維回収ステップS2を含むことを特徴とする方法。【選択図】図3
