Los instrumentos de medicion que existen actualmente en odontologia requieren un mayor tiempo de trabajo, con mediciones imprecisas e inadecuadas para el uso bucal disminuyendo asi su ergonomia y utilidad, por lo tanto el objetivo de este instrumento es superar los inconvenientes anteriormente mencionados para un mejor diagnostico, pronostico y tratamiento
