PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subject information acquisition apparatus capable of preventing displacement of a subject during measurement and also capable of easily extending a surface of the subject.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition apparatus projects light onto an examination site of a subject, and receives and analyses acoustic waves generated within the subject due to the light to obtain information of the inside of the subject.
