PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for maturing immature seaweed comprising setting up a culturing condition such as a photoperiod, a water temperature, culture media and the like in order to induce maturation of the immature seaweed so as to rapidly and stably mature the immature seaweed, and to provide seaweed obtained by the method.SOLUTION: The method for maturing immature seaweed comprises maintaining part of immature seaweed in culture water in a clean condition. The seaweed belongs to Laminariaceae which has morphological difference between its immature body and its adult body.
