The present invention relates to novel 4-substituted pyridine 2,6-dicarboxylic acid derivatives, compounds of formula I, wherein R1 and R2 are defined herein. The compounds of formula I are useful in the manufacture of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of proliferative diseases.
