PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable paper diaper and a method for manufacturing the same which can prevent liquid from remaining or returning on a skin abutting face while securing softness of the skin abutting face.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a disposable diaper provided with a liquid-permeable top sheet 30 provided on a skin abutting face, an absorber 56 which is placed on a rear surface side of the liquid-permeable top sheet 30 and is extended from the abdominal part through a crotch part to the hip part along a center in a width direction, and an intermediate element 95 which is provided facing the rear surface of the liquid-permeable top sheet 30 and the surface of the absorber 56, a part between the liquid-permeable top sheet 30 and the intermediate element 95 is made bulky by first superimposing the liquid-permeable top sheet 30 and the intermediate element 95 upon one another and then blowing the air from the liquid-permeable top sheet 30 side.
