The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing ice cream, comprising: a case which forms an appearance a container which is installed in the case to be exposed upward and in which a liquid material for producing ice cream is contained a cooling unit which supplies cold air to the container through a cooling cycle a paddle unit which is installed in the container to be rotated and mixes the liquid material a rotation driving unit which rotates the paddle unit an operation unit provided to select an operation of the cooling unit and the rotation driving unit and a control unit which receives an operation signal of the operation unit to control the cooling unit and the rotation driving unit. According to the present invention, ice cream materials are mixed by the paddle unit and cooled by the cold air so as to effectively produce ice cream, and ice cream with excellent taste and texture can be produced.
