PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly dispose a steering mechanism of front wheels, travel speed change gears, and a travel operation unit for operating the travel speed change gears inside a transmission case in a paddy-field work machine.SOLUTION: A steering shaft 74 is disposed along a front wall part 10d of a transmission case 10 in a vertical direction, and a pinion gear 74a is provided in the lower part of the steering shaft 74. An operation shaft 76 for steering front wheels is disposed in a portion of a bottom part 10f of the transmission case 10 behind the pinion gear 74a in the vertical direction, and an operation gear 76a in the upper part of the operation shaft 76 is engaged with the pinion gear 74.
