The present invention relates to an electric carburetor by a rack and pinion gear to control the rotational speed of an engine of a conventional backpack type mower. According to the present invention, from a conventional float type carburetor, a spring and a throttle wire are separated and discarded from a throttle valve, a piston type throttle valve having a needle jet mounted thereon is separated from a body part, and the following steps are performed. A lower end of a vertical shaft (5) into which a cap body (4) and a cap (2) are inserted is connected to the inside of the throttle valve (1), a rack (6) is formed on an outer wall of an upper part thereof, and the throttle valve (1) is inserted into the body part (8) to be fastened by the cap body (4) and attach the cap (2). A horizontal shaft (5&prime) pinion (7) is formed in a deceleration motor (9), thereby forming an electric carburetor fixated in a predetermined position of an upper plain plate of an air cleaner (21) by the rack (6) and pinion (7), where the horizontal shaft (5&prime) pinion (7) is engaged with the vertical shaft (5) rack (6).
