NON-HUMAN ANIMAL, CELL, METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF BLOOD PRESSURE REGULATOR, METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF CONDITION FOR REGULATION OF BLOOD PRESSURE, AND METHOD FOR REGULATION OF BLOOD PRESSURE
Provided are: a genetically modified non-human animal and a genetically modified cell, in each of which the expression level of ATP1B1 is altered; a method for evaluating a blood pressure regulator and a method for evaluating a condition for regulation of a blood pressure, each of which utilizes the non-human animal or the cell; and a method for regulating a blood pressure, which utilizes the mechanism. Each of the non-human animal and the cell has a functional genetic modification in Dec1 or Dec2 gene and also has an increased or decreased ATP1B1 expression level. The method for evaluating a blood pressure regulator involves a step of administering a substance to be evaluated to the non-human animal. Alternatively, the method involves a step of bringing the cell into contact with a substance to be evaluated. The method for evaluating a condition for regulation of a blood pressure involves a step of placing the non-human animal or the cell under a condition to be evaluated. The method for regulating a blood pressure involves a step of enhancing or inhibiting the transcriptional activity of ATP1B1 gene by DEC1 or DEC2 and at least one substance selected from CLOCK, BMAL1, CRY1 and another block transcriptional factor in the non-human animal.
