A seated cervical traction device and an angle sensing method are disclosed, the device includes a pulling module, a suspension element, a traction element, and a sensing module. The suspension element is arranged at one side of the pulling module one end of the traction element is connected to the pulling module while the other end hanging down through one end of the suspension element the sensing module is arranged at the part of traction element that hangs down through one side of the suspension element. When the traction element is stretched, an angle which takes one end of the suspension element hanging downwardly and perpendicularly to a horizontal plane is used as a standard reference, and with the angle that is perpendicular to a horizontal plane as the standard reference, a traction angle is formed and detected by the sensing module.
