The invention relates to a footboard for use on means of travel or locomotion for persons with reduced mobility, particularly a wheelchair, said footboard being made in a single piece and comprising guide elements, in at least some sections, for receiving an additional wheel with a detachable securing device thus reducing or even eliminating tilting of a securing device attached to the footboard, in the plane parallel to the surface of the claimed footboard. Advantageously, the surface comprises two ribs which extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the footboard, said ribs extending across a portion of the width of the footboard and preferably across the entire width.
