PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a new variety stock in which in stock cultivation, a double-flowered stock and a single-flowered stock are identified in good accuracy only by single operation before fix planting without requiring experience and skill.SOLUTION: The method for preparing a new variety stock includes a step in which a stock having a feature in character of outer shape of leaf that grows after a cotyledon is selected as a pollen parent and is crossed with a stock to be a mother plant by artificial pollination to obtain a population of first filial generation, a step in which self-pollination and seed production of the individual of the first filial generation are effected to give a population of second filial generation and a population of third filial generation is obtained by selective seed production by individual from the population of the second filial generation and a step in which the population of the third filial generation is seeded by individual and a stock having a character at the pollen side expressed only in a leaf that grows after a cotyledon of a double-flowered stock is selected from the seeded population and fixed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】ストック栽培において、八重咲きストック株と一重咲きストック株とを、熟練を必要とせず、定植前の1回だけの作業によって精度よく識別することのできる新品種ストックの作出方法について提案すること。【解決手段】花粉親として本葉の外形の形質に特長を有するストックを選択し、これと母本となるストックとを人為受粉によって交配することで雑種第1代の個体群を得る工程と、その雑種第一代の個体を自家受粉させて採種した雑種第2代の個体群の中から、個体別に選抜採種して雑種第3代の個体群を得る工程と、該雑種第3代の個体群を個体別に播種して、その中から八重咲きストックの本葉のみに前記花粉側の形質が発現しているストックを、選抜すると共に固定化する工程と、からなること。【選択図】図4
