PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type root crop harvesting machine in which a worker who manipulates and operates while walking behind the machine can get better view of a picking-up state of a vertical pick-up device so as to enabling an elimination of a damage to root crops to reduce root crops left on a farm field.SOLUTION: In a walking-type root crop harvesting machine harvesting root crops by drawing out root crops while picking up the foliage parts of root crops by a vertical pick-up device 64 disposed at the front part of the machine and sandwiching their foliage parts and sending up them backward by a drawing transferring device 19, a visual observation space A is provided in the vertical pick-up device 64. From the visual observation space A, the worker positioned at the back of the machine can visually observe the action part of the vertical pick-up device 64.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明では、機体の後部を歩行しながら操縦操作する作業者が縦引き起こし装置の引き起し状況を見易くすることで、根菜類の損傷が無く圃場に残留する根菜類を少なく出来る歩行型の根菜類収穫機とすることを課題とする。【解決手段】機体の前に設ける縦引起し装置64で根菜類の茎葉部を引き起こしながらその茎葉部を引抜搬送装置19で挟持して後方へ送り揚げながら根菜類を引き抜き収穫する歩行型根菜類収穫機において、縦引起し装置64に目視間隔Aを設け、この目視間隔Aから機体後部に位置する作業者が縦引起し装置64の掻き起こし作用部を目視可能にしたことを特徴とする歩行型の根菜類収穫機とする。【選択図】図2
