PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus which operates a movable unit in accordance with a contact body.SOLUTION: The X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes an X-ray generating part 10 for irradiating a subject P with X-rays, an X-ray detecting part 20 for generating X-ray projection data by detecting the X-rays transmitting through the subject P, a holding part 50 for movably holding the X-ray generating part 10 and the X-ray detecting part 20, a second detecting part 72 for detecting the contact body which is brought into contact by the movements of the X-ray generating part 10 and the X-ray detecting part 20 by the holding part 50, a determining part 73 for determining the contact body based on a detection signal detected by the second detecting part 72, and a movement control part 60 for controlling the holding part 50.
