PURPOSE: A self-healing microcapsule and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to easily produce a self-healing microcapsule of melamin-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) with superior physical properties.CONSTITUTION: A self-healing microcapsule comprises: a core containing a self-healing agent and a polymer shell containing MUF. The self-healing agent contains 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB) or a mixture of a crosslinking agent and ENB. A method for manufacturing the self-healing microcapsules comprises the steps of: preparing a solution for forming the polymer shell passing a therapeutic agent for forming the core through an SPG membrane and dispersing the therapeutic agent on a continuous phase to form a core droplet and adding the core droplet to the polymer shell solution and growing the polymer shell.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013[Reference numerals] (a) Example 1 (b) Example 2본 발명은 자기 치유제로 된 코어, 및 멜라민-우레아-포름알데히드(M-U-F)를 포함하는 고분자 쉘 구조를 가지는 자기 치유 마이크로캡슐 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면, 종래 우레아-포름알데히드(UF) 마이크로캡슐에 비해 우수한 물성들을 나타내는 멜라민-우레아-포름알데히드(MUF) 자기 치유 마이크로캡슐을 보다 용이한 과정으로 제조할 수 있다. 또한, 입자 분포가 좁은 MUF 자기 치유 마이크로캡슐의 제조가 가능하며, 상기 제조된 자기 치유 마이크로캡슐은 섬유 강화 복합소재에 포함되어 외부 응력에 의한 손상 회복이나 코팅층에 포함되어 외부의 스크래치 등을 회복할 수 있는 효과를 가진다.
