PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm update of animation data between two means by making an image forming means and a table forming means directly cooperate without interposing a relational data base. SOLUTION: In this design assisting device, the animation data is immediately updated and displayed by storing plant screen information including the animation data whose picture patterns such as characters, colors, size are changed and specification table information in the relational data base 3, updating the plant screen information by a plant screen formation processing, simultaneously updating the specification table information by specification table formation processing, writing the animation data processed by either one processing a common memory CM together with an identification code by a link function and reading the identification code stored in the common memory and the updated animation data by the other processing.
