PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) activator, which is free from a problem of a side effect, can be taken over a long term and has no peculiar taste.SOLUTION: Nobiletin is used as a PPAR activator. Nobiletin has excellent PPAR activity and has an excellent adiponectin secretion-promoting effect, and is included in a large amount in citrus fruits, in particular, in Shekwasha (Citrus depressa HAYATA) indigenous to Okinawa. Since citrus fruits have been consumed for many years, there is no problem with the safety of nobiletin and besides nobiletin has a low calorie content, and consequently it can be taken over a long term. Moreover, because of being tasteless and odorless, nobiletin would not damage a peculiar taste of a food when added thereto, and consequently it can be added to the food and taken.【課題】 副作用の問題がなく、長期間摂取可能であり、特有の風味がないペルオキシソーム増殖剤応答性受容体（ＰＰＡＲ）活性化剤を提供する。【解決手段】 ノビレチンをＰＰＡＲ活性化剤として使用する。ノビレチンは、優れたＰＰＡＲ活性および優れたアディポネクチン分泌促進効果を有し、柑橘類果実、特に、沖縄特産のシイクワシャー（ＣｉｔｒｕｓｄｅｐｒｅｓｓａＨＡＹＡＴＡ）に多量に含まれており、柑橘類果実は長年食されてきたことから、安全性に問題がなく、しかもカロリーが低いので、長期間摂取可能である。また、ノビレチンは、無味無臭なので、食品に添加しても、その食品特有の風味を害することがないため、食品に添加して摂取可能である。【選択図】なし
