PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal-carrying activated carbon which can be efficiently produced by simplifying a production process and can simply control a particle diameter of metal particles and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided metal-carrying activated carbon in which metal nanoparticles having a particle diameter of 1 to 800 nm are carried on activated carbon by ultrasonic irradiation. The metal nanoparticles are any one of gold, platinum, palladium, copper and silver. The metal-carrying activated carbon is produced by irradiating a mixed solution obtained by mixing base material activated carbon and an aqueous solution of a metal salt with ultrasonic waves to precipitate a metal in the metal salt on the surface of the base material activated carbon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】製造工程を簡素化により効率的に製造可能であるとともに、金属粒子の粒径等を簡便に制御することができる金属担持活性炭及びその製法を提供する。【解決手段】金属担持活性炭は、活性炭に超音波照射による粒径1nm~800nmの金属ナノ粒子が担持されている。金属ナノ粒子は、金、白金、パラジウム、銅、銀のいずれか一である。この金属担持活性炭は、基材活性炭と金属塩の水溶液とを混合した混合液に超音波を照射して基材活性炭の表面に金属塩の金属を析出させて製造される。【選択図】図1
