The present invention relates to a triamcinolone acetonide ophthalmic preparation and a preparation method thereof. The main components of the ophthalmic preparation are: 0.05% to 0.5% of triamcinolone acetonide, 0.1% to 0.9% of sodium chloride, 1.0% to 5.0% of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 0.05% to 0.2% of polysorbate 80, an appropriate amount of buffer solution, and sterile purified water. Sterilized triamcinolone acetonide and polysorbate 80 are mixed evenly, and an appropriate amount of sterile purified water is added to produce a suspension. Sodium chloride, ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid calcium sodium, benzalkonium bromide, acetic acid, sodium acetate, and boric acid are introduced to an appropriate amount of sterile purified water, and then dissolved to form a solution. The formed suspension and the formed solution are mixed evenly and sterilized at 100℃. Sterilized solution is then mixed evenly with a hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose solution. Sterilized purified water is then added till sterilized purified water accounts for 90% of the liquid volume. Finally sterilized NaOH or HCl solution is used to adjust the pH value to be 5 to 7. The ophthalmic preparation is formed after sterilized purified water is used to dilute and to fix the volume of the solution.
